HEALTH

Jonathan Jennett - Optometrist Director

Jonathan has been practising as an optometrist (ophthalmic optician) since 2001. Having worked all over Scotland as a locum for many years, including in Clearvue Opticians, he took over the practice in 2018.

Jonathan sits on the Lothian Area Optical Committee and has completed postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics, Glaucoma and Medical Retina (which includes diabetic screening).

Jonathan constantly strives to provide the best eye care he can for his patients. He places great importance on serving the community and will always make time to see anyone with an eye problem urgently. The practice has grown quickly since he took over, with many new patients seeking his professional and expert eye care.


STYLE

Becky Jennett - Frame stylist

Becky’s passion is design and you can be assured of a warm welcome as she loves a chat! She carefully selects the frames in the practice to ensure we have an excellent range with styles to suit everyone whatever your budget. With her knowledge of our ranges and careful questioning about your preferences, she will bring the frames to you. Choosing a frame can be stressful but Becky aims to make the experience fun. We want you to love your glasses and enjoy wearing them.

Gareth Friel - Dispensing and Contact Lens Optician

Our Dispensing Optician Gareth will always make sure you are well looked after. He will assess what you need from your vision and ensure you get the right lenses to achieve this. From single vision to Office lenses to Bifocals and Varifocals, the options are many and Gareth will ensure your glasses suit all of your day to day needs.

Gareth is also a Contact Lens Optician and looks after Clearvue’s contact lens patients. He also mentors student Dispensing Opticians for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians.
